Explore a new world. Discover a pure way of life.

One of the main reasons to own a second home at Alegria is simply to give yourself enough time to explore everything that Flamingo has to offer. There are enough outdoor adventures and scenic daytrips to fill a lifetime. You’ll soon discover that a vacation here and there is no substitute for becoming part of a community and really getting to know a place.

Three beaches and all manner of water sports can be enjoyed within a short walk of your home at Alegria. Take a sea kayak or sailboat and discover dozens of secluded coves and sandy beaches that dot the coastline along Potrero Bay. Bring along your snorkeling gear and a picnic, and chart a new course every day.

Resort golf and tennis are minutes away, and some of the world’s best deep-sea fishing is to be had just beyond the Flamingo Marina in Potrero Bay. Marlin, tuna, swordfish and snapper can be caught off the coast all year round.

Good surf spots can be found nearby along Flamingo and Brasilito beaches, but serious surfers will head south to Tamarindo just 20 minutes away, or up north to Witches Rock.

Santa Rosa National Park is about an hour’s drive, and is the most historic and environmentally significant national park in Costa Rica. Rincon de la Vieja National Park is also nearby, with its spectacular volcanoes and an array of microclimates that support an unusual variety of flora and fauna.

The Village Plaza at Alegria will ultimately become your favorite place to shop, unwind and dine in your own backyard. But if shopping and dining are your favorite forms of recreation,

there are plenty of other destinations nearby.
